Chances are, if you’re reading this article, then you likely have racks and racks of clothes sitting within viewing distance.
You’ve got your shipping down, you have been having pop-ups, you’ve got a Facebook group going and you have probably been selling quite a bit. You’re also probably investing money to grow your inventory.
What started out as a hope and a dream is now your real business. Your inventory is likely worth somewhere between $5000 and $20,000 wholesale. And guess what? Everything you have built is not insured. Your home insurance policy isn’t built to cover your business. A small kitchen fire could ruin your entire inventory with smoke smell. Theft, slip and fall, or even a car accident with your inventory in transport could not only put you out of business but also put you at risk of a lawsuit.
Enough of the doom & gloom. What is the solution and how much does it cost to insure my LuLaRoe inventory?
The solution is a home-based business insurance policy and the cost is typically just around $233/year, which only comes out to about $20 per month! Ok, so here are some follow-up question & answers:

How long does it take to get a quote?
Less than 5 minutes.. and you don’t even have to talk to anyone to see your rate!
The policy offers coverage when you are away from home hosting a pop-up and you can even use it to prove you have insurance when holding an event. This can include up to $1,000,000 in general liability to help protect you from a lawsuit. You list how much total inventory you have, which would then be insured in the event of a covered loss. The policy also includes $5,000 inventory coverage when not in your home which you can increase to $15,000 for just $75 additional per year.
Like any insurance policy, there are exclusions and it is important to read them. There is also a $500 deductible for certain losses.
