Good-bye for now, Thomas, and thank you for your service!

Our InsuranceHub family is about to bid a temporary farewell to one of our own. Thomas, who is part of our commercial insurance team, will be leaving us for a few months so that he can complete Basic Training (including Advanced Individual Training or AIT) for the United States Army. He will be at Fort Benning until May, and after that he will be part of the National Guard. (We say it’s a temporary farewell because he’s going to return to us in May.)

We’re very proud of Thomas for deciding to serve his country as part of the National Guard. Along with going through Basic Training, the commitment means that Thomas will serve one week out of every month and two weeks out of the summer after completing training. During that time, he will be at the Army Reserve Center (or ARC) in Atlanta. However, Thomas will continue working at InsuranceHub when he returns from Basic Training. He’s going to be both an InsuranceHub team member and a National Guard member – at the same time!

Thomas has been a very valued member of our team since he started at InsuranceHub in October. Even though we will miss him since we won’t see him for four months, we’re happy for him because serving in the Army is something that he’s always wanted to do. Thomas decided to seize the moment and go for it, and we all want to thank him for his service.

In true InsuranceHub style, we will be sending Thomas off with an office party! We’ll enjoy some snacks, soda, and games (ping pong and Connect Four being office favorites.) We couldn’t let him go without throwing a farewell party and playing some serious ping pong!

So, this is good-bye for now, Thomas! We wish you all the best for Basic Training, and we look forward to having you back on the team in May. Thank you very much for your service!
