Digital Media Intern

EDUCATION: Must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s or higher program at an accredited college or university

Want to know more? Do you love social media? Does Search Engine Optimization (SEO) sound intriguing? Does website analytics make you happy? Does content management give you a sense of fulfillment? Well, you’re in luck—this internship will give you the opportunity to do all of those things!
Learning objectives will be accomplished through training, observation, and learning-by-doing under close supervision with constructive feedback. You’ll undertake all duties and responsibilities listed below under close observation through a mentor-trainee relationship—but don’t worry, we don’t do the whole hovery, stand-over-you-shoulder thing. We’re chill.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with marketing manager and team members to develop and understand digital marketing strategies that will meet agency objectives
- Develop and write marketing content plans/missions to be sent forth over social media channels
- Learn SEO best practices and write meta content to support agency SEO goals
- Analyze reports to create insights that will help drive digital marketing content strategies
- Create and implement tracking code designed to measure success of social content missions
- Work with SEO tools and platforms to create keyword maps for agency websites
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
- Laser-focused attention to detail and follow-through
- Strong writing skills
- The power to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form
- Flexibility in work functions and duties—basically a can-do attitude
- Wizard-level multi-tasking skills
- Uncanny ability to never miss a deadline
- The ability to take charge of lots of data, make sense of said data, and create meaning from the data—then explain it to other people
- Appreciation of a good game of ping pong. We have a table in the break room. We. Love. Ping. Pong.
- Exceptional time management skills
- Extreme teamwork skills—we like to think of ourselves as a family
- PC/Mac proficiency and strong skills in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PPT, Excel) essential
- Sorcery with self-hosted or managed Wordpress is a plus, as well as any other marketing skills that you may have
- The ability to not be squirlley after a long period of time staring at a computer—the digital business requires patience and focus
