Descriptive Summary

Are you able to chat with all sorts of people?  Do you get along with strangers right away? You can turn these skills into a career in the insurance industry! No job experience? Not a problem. We’ll pay to get you licensed to sell insurance and give you the training you need. 

The Associate Agent is an individual who is responsible for new sales into the Agency.  This includes but is not limited to quoting business and working leads provided by the Managing Agent or Company. An Associate Agent is responsible for new business production daily and working various sources of leads. They also participate in weekly staff meetings and complete other supporting duties required by the Managing Agent, Director of Personal Lines or President.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Achieve monthly sales goals for revenue.
  • Bind policies that pass underwriting compliance specifications.
  • Ensure that the coverage was conveyed to the customer to their satisfaction.
  • Ability to efficiently maximize calling and quoting opportunities.

Core Functions

  • Help people truly protect everything they own.
    • Customizing insurance policies to suit individual customers.
    • Covering a variety of risks.
  • Calculate premiums and establish payment methods.
  • Attend meetings, seminars, and programs so that you can learn about new products and services, master new skills, and receive technical assistance in developing new clients.
  • Respond to and follow up on incoming requests for insurance. Requests may come from either online forms or phone calls.
  • Create comprehensive notes on all calls.
  • Convert new customers into referral sources.
  • Seek out new clients by networking to find new customers.
  • Generate lists of prospective clients.
  • Hours of operation: Monday – Friday
    • Several shifts available
    • 40 hours per week

Experience 

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Can possess current and active Georgia Property and Casualty insurance license or be willing to obtain.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to sit for long periods of time. Must have the ability to operate a computer and be able to speak, see and hear clearly with or without assistance.
